Can I apply to a UK university without IELTS?
Often yes — many partner universities accept a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter or other approved English evidence instead of IELTS.
Applying without IELTS
Many universities in our partner catalogue accept alternatives to IELTS, such as:
- Medium of Instruction (MOI) letters from your previous institution
- Other approved English-language tests (PTE, LanguageCert, Duolingo — where accepted)
- Country-specific exemptions
Requirements vary by university and programme, so always confirm the specific route with StudyPortal.ai before you apply.
